Solo Jazz Workshop on the 27th of April 2024:

Track A
(open to beginners and less experienced dancers, or experienced ones who like to dig into details)
11am-1.30pm
  • FUNdamentals of Solo Jazz,
  • important jazz steps and variations,
  • Introduction to improvising to swing music

- 30min break -

Track B
(open for dancers with some prior experience, or newer dancers who learn fast and like a challenge)
2-4.30 pm:
  • Relaxed improvising to swing music,
  • quality of movement, flow and healthy dancing,
  • danced expression of the musical structure

Chapel Swing VIII with Linda Kyei Swing Combo
Big Saturday night swing dance party in a great venue!

The Chapel Swing Crew is organizing a big swing evening with live music by the amazing Linda Kyei & band in Heidelberg's Südstadt:

Warm-up for the dance night during the day in the Solo Jazz workshop, and then dance your socks of at night to live music - a perfect combination if you ask me.

Both the workshop and the dance night are donation-based so come on out and bring a curious friend or two with you!

 

Workshop fee ist donation-based:

Recommended donation (also offsetting room rent and other cost):

 

€20-45/person per 2,5hrs track

 

∼€20 for people with low income or students/Azubis etc.,

∼€35 for people with an average income,

∼€45 for people with an above average income - 

all at your own discretion.

There'll be a cash donation box at the workshop premises.

Susan's studio has a beautiful wooden floor. Please bring flat shoes without dark soles that slide well on hard floors. E.g. shoes with leather soles or sneakers with a light sole.

No high heels allowed!
